Farfetch is a global online marketplace for luxury fashion. Founded in 2007 by José Neves, the London-based platform connects boutiques and brands from around the world with customers in more than 190 countries.

When I applied for an internship there in 2023, I did not want to send an ordinary cover letter. An application to a fashion company should be at home in the world it addresses — so I looked for a format the industry itself uses. Every garment carries a care label: a small tag that states what a piece is made of and how it should be treated. I turned my application into exactly that.

The result is a care label about myself — the materials I am made of and the instructions for how I work — presented in a short video. The photograph below was taken behind the scenes of the production.
